Role Responsibilities

  • Perform threat and gap analyses.
  • Oversee periodic external penetration tests.
  • Implement internal vulnerability scanning and penetration testing systems.
  • Conduct attack simulations to identify weaknesses that might be exploited by malicious parties.
  • Take responsibility for our Information Security Policies:
  • Develop a set of security standards and best practices for the organization. This role is organization wide and includes all devices (phones, tablets, laptops, PCs, testing, dev, productions environments) and systems in addition to production exchanges and customer facing infrastructure.
  • Recommend security enhancements to management.
  • Develop strategies to respond to and recover from a security breach.
  • Develop a viable and robust business continuity plan, that is practiced, operational, and meets federally mandated standards.
  • Educate the workforce on information security through training and building awareness.
  • Implement cybersecurity protections:
  • Develop a plan to identify and apply security patches and version updates to ensure compliance with any US-CERT announcements.
  • Install and use software, such as firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect Seed’s sensitive information and systems.
  • Monitor for security breaches, by constantly monitoring our organization’s networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions by examining log files and other.

Role Requirements

  • A hard requirement of 5+ years of experience as a Security Engineer or Information Security Analyst.
  • Bachelors or masters degree in computer science or related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with trading systems and related technologies such as FIX 4.4.
  • Passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies.
  • Experience maintaining and storing private keys.
  • A strong multi-tasker with a keen eye for detail, to think one step ahead of risks and criminals.
  • Must be well organized and thrive in fast-paced, high-stress scenarios.
  • Strong executive presence, must be able to communicate to regulators and other C level execs and partners.
  • Direct experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, logging systems, and content filtering techniques and systems.
  • Direct experience of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods
  • Experience designing secure networks, systems and application architectures
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methods
  • Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures
  • Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications
  • Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management
  • Ability to read and use the results of mobile code, malicious code, and anti-virus software
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions to include File Integrity Monitoring and Data Loss Prevention
  • Deep knowledge of "Cloud VPC" & "VxLan" for on-premise.
