This is a salaried exempt position.  90-130k based on experience

Position Summary:
Reporting to the VP of Corporate Development and M&A, the Manager/Senior Financial Analyst (job title determined based on experience) will work closely with key leaders across the organization to drive actions that shape the firm’s future portfolio of businesses. With a focus on mergers and acquisitions, business development, and negotiation strategy development, the firm’s Corporate Development team works under the direct oversight of the Chief Strategy Officer. This position is both demanding and rewarding with high visibility and exposure.
Job Responsibilities:
Merger & Acquisition
  • Build complex financial models for merger, acquisition, divestiture and joint-venture activities, and own the process for key valuation metrics like business forecast, synergies, investment returns metrics, earnings per share, etc.
  • Partner with the Global PMO team to coordinate all due diligence activities across all primary functional areas such as Finance, IT, HR, Commercial, Operations, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, etc.
  • Support development of scoping documents and other presentation materials to communicate the financial business case and strategic rationale to executive management including the CEO, CFO, CSO and BU Presidents.
  • Liaise with third party service providers such as consultants, accounting firms, investment banks, law firms.
Business Development
  • Perform both internal and external strategic analyses to become better informed about current business conditions. In liaison with the commercial teams, build, track and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Partner with the BU and Regional BD teams to develop and review the business cases for capital expenditures for growth and efficiency initiatives across all business units.
Negotiation Strategy Development
  • Identify key negotiation tactics and issues.
  • Assist senior team in setting the negotiation agenda and preparation for negotiations
Job Requirements:
  • MBA (strongly preferred from a top-tier business school) with 3-5 years’ experience (pre-MBA/Post MBA) in either corporate development or investment bank management / strategy consulting, preferably with a major consulting firm.
  • Superior analytical abilities including advanced knowledge of corporate financial and valuation theory. Superlative attention to detail required.
  • Ability to identify and address cross-functional issues that may be relevant to completing or implementing acquisitions and alliances.
  • Experience making decisions in intense and complex conditions.
  • Demonstrate commercial acumen and desire to learn.
  • Proficiency in Excel financial modeling and Power Point presentation.
  • Confident, effective communicators with strong executive presence and influence.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to perform in a fast-paced, Global work environment.
